Most RGBIC strips ship with a tiny remote that goes missing the day you open the box. We built the Magic Lantern App so any phone can take its place — for free, with no account, no ads and no cloud.
The app talks to your strip directly over Bluetooth. Your lights stay in your home, your data stays on your phone.

What the Magic Lantern App does — in detail.
The app is built around six documented capabilities, drawn from the official product manuals. These are the only features we promise; we will not invent extras to look impressive.
- 01Bluetooth pairing and multi-device list
- Open the app, allow Bluetooth, let it scan, and pair your strip. The lamp list keeps track of every device so you can switch between them with one tap.
- 02Color wheel, RGB sliders and brightness
- Choose any hue from the wheel or dial in exact R/G/B values. Brightness and color temperature are first-class controls.
- 03Dynamic modes and preset scenes
- Dozens of scenes designed for relaxing, focusing, partying or sleeping. Each scene can be tweaked and saved back.
- 04Music rhythm modes
- Multiple rhythm styles react to your phone microphone with adjustable sensitivity. Works with whatever audio is playing in the room.
- 05Timer and schedule
- Turn lights on at sunset, off at bedtime, or run a daily schedule. Set once and forget.
- 06Pixel and line-sequence settings
- For addressable strips, configure pixel order and line sequence so dynamic effects flow in the direction you actually wired them.
What the Magic Lantern App does not do.
We would rather be useful than oversell. Here is what the app intentionally leaves out so you can decide whether it fits.
- No HomeKit, Alexa or Google Home integration.
- No cloud sync, remote access or off-LAN control.
- No account or registration — also no cross-device settings sync.
- No support for non-Bluetooth or Zigbee-only strips.
